The reception will be at Boulevard Brewery in Kansas City, Missouri. The Kansas City metropolitan area spans the border of Kansas and Missouri, and both states have cities called "Kansas City" within that metropolitan area. However, the Kansas City we're dealing with is on the Missouri side. Don't end up in Kansas.
You should fly into the Kansas City International Airport (MCI), which is about 15 miles northwest of Downtown Kansas City.
Boulevard Brewery is a ~5 minute drive from downtown Kansas City. There's a lot of nice hotels in downtown:
There's an event in downtown KC this same weekend causing hotels to fill up quickly and be more expensive than usual. It's a good idea to book a hotel as far in advance as you can, but if downtown hotels are too pricy or not available, try one of the Country Club Plaza hotels listed in this section below. The Plaza is only about a 10 minute drive from Boulevard and a 15 minute drive to downtown, so you'll still be close by.
